Community standards

Belonging requires boundaries.

These standards apply across Dating, Events, Networking, Communities and every future UpCliq experience.

Last updated July 30, 2026

Respect and consent

Treat people as people, not leads, targets or content. A match, connection, RSVP or profile view is not consent to persistent contact, sexual conversation, recording, identity disclosure, promotion or contact outside UpCliq. Stop when someone says no, withdraws consent or disengages.

Not allowed

  • Threats, harassment, stalking, intimidation or encouragement of violence
  • Hate or dehumanizing attacks based on protected or personal characteristics
  • Sexual exploitation, non-consensual sexual content or intimate-image abuse
  • Content or conduct involving the sexual exploitation of minors
  • Impersonation, deceptive identities, romance scams, investment scams or fraud
  • Doxxing, publishing private information or attempting to bypass a block
  • Spam, pyramid schemes or unsolicited mass commercial messages
  • Dangerous event listings, illegal goods or instructions intended to cause harm
  • Manipulating platform systems, reports, verification or recommendation tools

Authenticity and professional claims

Use information that honestly represents you. Professional titles, qualifications, businesses, offers and event details must not be misleading. A profile’s presence on UpCliq is not an endorsement. Verification badges must describe exactly what was verified.

Reporting

Users should be able to report a profile, message, event or interaction. Reports should identify a category, the relevant context and optional details. UpCliq may preserve related records, restrict contact while reviewing, request additional information and escalate imminent threats to appropriate authorities where lawful. During the controlled pilot, safety and conduct concerns may also be sent to support@upcliq.net with “Safety report” in the subject line.

Blocking

Blocking is private. A blocked account should not be able to search for, view, message, invite or connect with the blocker across UpCliq experiences. UpCliq may retain the minimum relationship record necessary to enforce the block and prevent circumvention.

Enforcement

Responses may include education, warnings, reduced visibility, content removal, feature restrictions, temporary suspension or permanent removal. Severity, intent, credible risk, repeated behaviour and prior actions may be considered. Serious safety risks may result in immediate restrictions while a review is underway.

Appeals and fairness

Eligible users should receive a reason and a way to request review. Appeals do not guarantee restoration. UpCliq may limit details where disclosure would endanger someone, expose security methods or violate law.
